- Devise a revision timetable: this can help you structure your time and gives you motivation to start studying for your exams.
- Create a personalised checklist identifying your areas of weakness: practise doing past papers for subjects. This can help you get used to the exam format and answering the questions within a time limit.
- Make sure you stay away from any form of distraction (for example, phones/ipads/laptops) whilst revising: you will get the maximum benefit from your revision sessions if it is done in a quiet area, without distractions and with regular breaks.
Fundraising for Sixth Form Prom – This term, our Sixth Form students have been participating in fundraising events in order to raise enough money to hold their end of year prom. So far, they have held a bake sale, raffled a Mother’s Day hamper, and donated their time washing staff members’ cars and bikes, already raising over £300 through their efforts.
Urban Leaders – A group of seven year 12 students completed their work on the Urban Leaders work programme, and were presented with certificates for community leadership last week. After completing this programme, they have been offered work experience placements over the summer, an opportunity to develop their projects further and gain valuable experience for their CVs.
Hot Chocolate Morning – As an end of term reward after completing their mock exams, the students enjoyed a lovely morning treat of hot chocolate, marshmallows and Easter Eggs. It was a really relaxing time for the staff and the students.
