After months of hard work and completing a bronze and silver level in advisor training, our own Music teacher Ms Zembron has earned The Academy the right to work as an Arts Award Centre.
The Arts Award is managed by Trinity College London in association with Arts Council England and develops creativity, leadership and communication skills. Students may explore any arts, media or cultural activity, such as music, literature, film-making or drama, or technical and support roles such as arts marketing, stage lighting and web design.
Starting with our Music Academy Scholars, students will have the opportunity to work towards a nationally recognised qualification in the Arts.
To achieve their Arts Award, young people take on challenges in an art form, participate in arts activities, experience arts events, get inspired by artists and share their arts skills with others. Creating a portfolio to keep a record of their journey students will be supported by Ms Zembron, acting as assessor, facilitator and mentor.
